Hello and welcome to the HC Network...
Lets start off by having a look at the Chinese Water Dragon Caresheet... It has lots of usefull info on there.
Another great source of info on water dragons would be Tricias Page...
Did this person take good care of the dragon up until the time you acquired it?
How old is the dragon?
Did they give you a cage as well?

i have a cage, he is 2 named Jeffery. as far as care if he got fed he got fed.
they fed him mostly millworms large, pinkies. some crickets. to em he is nice green, he moves alot for me. i know its warmer in my hosue then theres. he has started running, could be scared new house new noises. ill be honest I know nothing about a dragon just by reading is what I know, they have 2 lights darker kinda purple left on all the time, and I bought to replace the light white light, was flickering which was told he needed 6 hours a day of it. now as far as a basking lamp not sure if I really need one? his cage is not great for him but we will build a new one or atleast something better til I build one. been looking. but I appreciate any help. and thanks

Hello,
Welcome to the HC Network. I hope you enjoy the site and find it useful!
There are 3 ways to upload pics. Two of them are described here: http://www.herpcenter.com/hcn-site-assistance/
The 3rd is to click the Gallery link at the top of the page and follow the directions there. Once the pic is uploaded, you can copy the code it shows and viola, pictures are in posts.

Hello,
The size of the reptile will be depictive of the care it received so its very difficult to judge how big it would/should be.
