Hello All!
Hi! I am new to this site and a soon to be herp owner, my boyfriend and I are looking into getting 2 or so leopard gecko's although we are open to something else and I just wanted to do some research and get some info before buying something, we have a 29 gallon aquarium in which to house. So if anyone has advise on a good first time lizard, gecko, skink anything, please contact me I am just trying to find as much info as possible.

hey welcome to HC! glad you joined us. Leopard Geckos make great pets. i don't have any myself but I hope to add one to my collection. i do have corn snakes however and they make awesome pets as well. check out our care sheets that we have here. hope you find the right herp for you.

Welcome to HC Nikki...Leopard Geckos are a perfect starter lizard. Easy to care for dont need special lightening..Here is a great care sheet....

Thanks so much this care sheet is going to be really helpful. I am so excited I can't wait to get them, will post pics as soon as I can. Please keep the info coming my way, how about mixing a leo and an AFT in the same encloser is that okay or a big NO.

That one's a big no I'm afraid though. They look similar, but they're not even in the same genus, and the AFT has higher humidity needs than the leo. Best to house them seperately.
