Hi all!

Hi! I am a new mommy to a Five-Lined Skink. I am glad to have found this site! I do wish there was a care sheet for her though. I have tons of info on them but I can't seem to get enough, it's addicting. Just wanted to introduce myself to the group.
Hope to talk to you all soon,
Kim
PS- Anyone know how long it takes for a Skink tail to grow back, unfortunately she lost hers before I got her.

Thanks so much, I checked out the website you sent kenman. I feel like most of the info I find is about Skinks in the wild, which is great but not to helpful to me. On Skinky's blog I have put what I can find, in hopes of making it easy on people looking for info on them in captivity. I hope to add a lot more to it, I just started his blog the other day. I am really excited to maybe talk to some other Skink owners.
Check out Skinky's blog for pics.
Kim

Welcome to HC The length of time it takes for a skink to grow its tail back can depend on the age of the skink, and the exact amounts of nutrients its getting in its diet. I'm not sure what the average is for a healthy five-lined though.

Welcome to HC! I don't have any, but I do love skinks...they're very cool critters.
