hello

hi all, i'm glad I found this site. lot's of interesting and useful topics here. i have two snakes and three tarantulas right now. my snakes are a ball python and an albino california king. included a couple of pics. the ball is named thor and is about 18 months old. my cali is named kong and is around 8 months. i've never had a snake eat like it does. it eats a pinkie every day, except when shedding.

Welcome to HC What species of tarantulas do you have? Just a word of advice on the king though, I wouldn't feed him so much. Just cause he'll eat that much, doesn't mean he should A pinkie every day sounds like an aweful lot to me.

Welcome to HC!I hope you'll like it here! I agree with furryscaly,a pinky a day is way too much! If you don't want to risk your snakes health by overfeeding, one or two pinkies per week is more than enough. When they are adults, one mouse or rat every two weeks is usually enough. How big is your cali?Maybe she can already take larger feeders?

Welcome big-n-hairy. You will enjoy it here, we're very friendly. Please post pictures of the snakes. The spiders too I guess, but I don't want to look at them

Try a rat pinky, they are much better quality than mice .And at 27" I think your snake is big enough for it.My sinaloan is about 20" and eats two rat pinkies(2days old) in a row, once a week.

Welcome to HC!!! I agree with upgrading from pinkies, fuzzies or regular mice are much more nutritious, pinkies are mostly fat. If the snake starts to get more protein it will be healthier in the long run.
