    New to the Forum

Hello, I'm glad I found this forum. I really can't understand why it took me so long. I have had snakes, lizards, and Tortoise/turtles throughout my life and on many occasions I could have used advise from others with experience found on forums.
I just purchased a garden phase Amazon Tree Boa (CBB 2012) that I will pick up on Tuesday. I have always wanted an aboreal snake and I felt this was the right place to start. I have researched this species for years and I feel I'm at the right place to bring one home. I hope to also get advise from others on this forum that have experience with Amazon Tree Boa's and any tips they may have.

    Thanks for reading

Welcome to the site! Amazons are beautiful boas, and I love how many different colors and patterns they come in. I'm sure someone will have some tips and tricks for you. Why don't you tell us what kind of setup you have for it?

    Re: New to the Forum

Hi, Im going to try to attach a photo at the bottom of this post. I have a exo terra terrarium set up for him. Its loaded with hidding places, live and fake plants, circulating water, under tank heat, low watt heat cable, and a misting system. I also have a timer for a12 hr light cycle and a temp thermostat. I was told to keep it simple because its a hatchling, so if I feel he's having trouble finding food/ water I'm prepared to remove unessecary clutter. When he gets bigger ill have his new cage set up in a similar style but im still making payments on it ( cage by design). Did I leave anything out that I should pick up before I get him on Tuesday?

Hi and welcome! You look like you are prepared, the only other thing I can suggest for you is a digital thermometer, the kind with a probe to accurately measure temps and a hydrometer to measure humidity.

Welcome to Herpcenter. I have been tossing around the idea of getting an Amazon Tree Boa for some time (then again, I want one of every snake, lol). Can't wait to see pictures of yours! Setup looks pretty fab.
