Hello Everyone,
Hello everyone. We are new to the forum so I thought I would introduce us. I'm Cool Mrs. T, and my dragon is a juvenile male named Tatsunosuke Serakh (which is a combination of Japanese and "dragontongue" which together means Little Dragon Boy Soul....Tatsu for short). We aren't really sure how old he is, only that he is just beginning to show the secondary sexual characteristics that allowed me to know that we had indeed named him accurately. He has small spikes down his entire dorsal ridge and the femoral pores are just slightly enlarging. He is a very handsome young man at about 12 inches from the tip of his snout to the end of his tail (which makes him about 5 or 6 inches from snout to vent). Can anyone give me a clue about how old he is? I fell in love with him immediately at the pet store. He was in a tank with some juvenile iguanas, but he followed me from side to side wherever I went near that tank. His charming good looks together with the fact that he was the only Water Dragon in the tank made it love at first sight! We have had him about 3 months now. He is doing well, loves to be handled (especially by Mom--that's me) and I will post his picture as soon as I can take a better one than I have on my phone. Anyhow, greetings to all fellow reptile enthusiasts.........especially dragon lovers!

Welcome to HC. Getting an accurate age on a dragon from the petstore is unlikely. Diet, heating, and UV exposure would all play a role in how fast or slow he developed. Your guess would be as good as any guess we could give.
