Hi, I've Just Joined.
Seeing as I have just joined this very interesting-looking site, I guess I must introduce myself. I'm from George, a small town on the south coast of South Africa. I'm a teacher by trade and herper by choice. I have a fairly large collection of snakes, most of which I keep at a local animal park. Among the snakes in my collection are most of our local cobras (cape cobra, forest cobra, mozambique spitter, rinkhals, snouted cobra) mambas (green @ black)
puff adder, gaboon viper, red spitters, western diamondbacks, white-lipped tree vipers, boomslang, mangrove snake, various king/milk snakes, rainbow boas, burmese, assorted rat snakes, house snakes, mole snakes etc. Other interests include photography and surfing (in the sea, that is). One can never learn enough about this hobby, and these sites are usually goldmines of information. Regards Gavin |

Welcome Gavin. It's so true that there is always more to learn about reptiles.
I like that term "local cobras"  that would be different.
