Newbie with Some Small Questions

Hello, i am new on the web site but i love reptiles and i thought it would be the best way to post some questions...

I got 2 iguanas and 2 beared dragons.
however the 2 beared dragon have always been in 2 separate cages...

i have a bigger one but i m afraid of putting the together. I tried once but the after a few seconds one was bitting the other .. and well.. i got scared and separated them again.

Is this attitude normal?? and is there any risk of them hurting each other?

they are roughly the same size even if one is actually growing much faster than the other...

hope u ll be able to help me...

Re: Newbie with Some Small Questions

Totally normal. They are showing their dominance. It is best to keep them seperated as you have them now.

Re: Newbie with Some Small Questions

I agree with Marsha. You dont want problems happening and one starts not eating, and fighting. Then you will have a wounded lizard.

Re: Newbie with Some Small Questions

It will depend on the sex as well as the size of the enclosure
Females will generally get along, but males will fight.
However some females can be troublesome as well.

Re: Newbie with Some Small Questions

Welcome! you could always build yourself a rack like enclosure so that you can stack the dragon tanks on top of each other and then they wouldn't be taking up as much floor space as 2 tanks would.
