Hello, Y'all! From SC..new Uro Lover Joining

Hello,
I am located in SC, USA.
Mostly new to herps, but worked with them at a job I had awhile back, at a petstore chain.
I was introduced to Uromastyx, and fell in love. The store Uro was a Mali, and he/she (?) was so sweet that I ended up wanting one of my own.
I am finally getting my own, a pair of them. I am unsure of what species yet, but as soon as I get them, I will be researching to find out...you better believe it! I am so interested in this whole thing that it has almost become an obsession!
I waited to get my own, until I had researched the animal and knew more about it. I want to be a responsible pet owner, so I can show my own kids what responsibility is, and how to take care of animals properly.
Thank you all for reading my intro, I look forward to getting to know you all, and more about Uro's, as well!

welcome to the board. I would stick with one uro and not two. If you end up with two males, they WILL fight and you WILL need 2 enclosures. Reptiles don't need companionship, in fact they are solitary creatures and there is a good chance that even if its a male and female, one will dominate the other.

Welcome to Herp Center. Not too bash what Liz said but I've never had an issue with keeping multiple Uros together. There is definitely a get to know each other stage though that should be watched upon. Definitely provide a large enclosure with plenty of TIGHT areas to hide so they can retreat for protection if need be.
Usually the biting is reserved for the mating rituals.

That's fine Mike. I'm not a uro owner, I can only go by what I read on the board, and there have been a few issues. I guess I'm saying be prepared if it doesn't work out.
