Hello All

Just picked up a new baby yesterday. Her owner couldn't give her the attention she needed and I took her in.
I just lost my older 'iggy' a couple weeks ago from kidney failure, that's what I was told by the vet. I had her for close to 15 years, and she again was from someone who couldn't care for her. She was 3 when I got her.

Re: Hello All

I have a 36" UVB tube, verilux full spectrum, 150 w ceramic heater, also a ESU night lite spot (black light) and a chromalux 100 watt basking spot, that I'm replacing with a Mega-ray 160 w. Everythings on timers with the UVB on 12 hrs a day, off 12 hrs. Ceramic heater on 24 hrs a day, with night spot on only at night.

Feed her a combination of collards, mustard, escarole, dandelion, along with shredded parsnip, green beans, acorn squash, papaya, mango and cactus pear.

She gets a bath in the tub every day, as I'm having a hard time keeping the humidity level up. I also mist her and the enclosure 4 to 5 times a day.

I'm going to pickup a bigger water basin to try and keep up the humidity levels.

Re: Hello All

It's a reptisun 10.0, with a 20" max. range. It's about 14 inches above the basking ledge. I got the bigger tube because the enclosure is 5' tall, and needs the extra output. That's why I'm replacing the basking spot with the Mega-ray 160. All my lighting is on the inside, but no way for her to come in contact with them. Plexiglas on 3 sides with a smooth panel back, no way to climb up.

Re: Hello All

Congrats! Her set up sounds pretty nice. I'm sure you are going to LOVE the mega-ray. The changes I have seen in my group have been amazing!
You could buy a room humidifier like they use for children and put it in the cage, if it's not a heated on it can just sit where ever.
That's a cage by CagesByDesign, right? You should post a review on it, I know I would be curious to hear what you have to say!
