Hello everyone! My name is Marcus.. I just got my first Water Dragon a few days ago. She is about 1 1/2 years old. Her name is Skyy (really blue around the mouth). I am really excited about her and excited to be a part of this forum. So I have a 24" by 24" by 48" tank. One third of the tank is filled entirely with water. There are about 6 goldfish swimming around and some bamboo as well. I have a Fluvel 105 water filter to keep the water clean . I have a 100 watt red heat lamp and a 100 watt heat/UVB bulb. They alternate on and off every 12 hours. She has only eaten 3 meal worms and 1 cricket so far. I'm guessing she is still a little nervouse getting used to her new home. Here are some pictures of my setup. I'll get some better shots of her during the day. lol right now she is chillin with one leg hanging! I would love to hear some feedback reguarding my setup and/or any suggestions that may help. Thanks everyone!

Welcome. That looks like a really beautiful setup. I'm sure she's happy to be there.

About your enclosure, it will do really well for now, but, unfortunately, it's not going to last her for long. She may outgrow it in her first year. Here is a caresheet: http://reptileguides.herpcenter.com/...-t25.html?t=25 Size of enclosure falls under part 4. This can help you prepare for when she does get larger.

If you've only had her for a few days, she's still in her adjustment period. Water Dragons don't take well to change. She's scared, confused and unused to her new surroundings. Leave her alone for a couple of weeks in a quiet room of the house. Offer her food, and clean the cage, but try to have minimal contact with her. Once she starts to become comfortable with your presence in her life, she'll start eating again, and then you can start to handle her. Don't worry, though. It's completely normal.

She may need her lighting adjusted as well. The heat/UVB bulb may not have quite enough UVB for her. Can you tell us more about that? We may be able to suggest a better type of bulb to use.
