Hello everyone my name is Eric and I have always been fascinated by reptiles.
I was lucky as a kid since I grew up in San Diego's back country and was exposed to numerous reptiles. I never kept them though. Even rattlesnakes were caught and released. My list of species and subspecies I came across there is pretty comprehensive.
Right now I am living in Chicago and I am content with raising my 3 green anoles.
They have the whole corner of the front room to go back and forth to their 30 gallon tank as they choose since October 2007. In that corner is a couple of 8 foot palms and a giant bird of paradise tree that bends off the roof and numerous other plants. Of course I have full spectrum lighting everywhere and a 3500 sq. foot humidifier to keep the anoles and plants happy. It's amazing to see them chasing each other around and dare devil jumping from branch to branch. They are always bright green and mating all the time so I guess they are a lot happier than life in a 10 gallon tank.
I will try to take pictures and video soon but I can't get the cameras exposure right with all the lighting.
