Help Please...

Hi i'm new and the reason why I have an account here is because my friend said you guys are lots of help.
I need to know what to do with my Iguana.
It hasn't eaten I 2 weeks and I don't know what to do.
She sleeps all day long and really doesn't move.
she still poops alot of i'm not sure if thats a good sign or not.
If you could give me some tips that would be great.

Re: Help Please...

First of all Welcome! Now tell us about your iguana's cage set up...temps in her cage, type of UVB lighting...what you have been feeding her. If she is in fact a girl, how old is she? She could be in breeding condition and be carrying eggs....which would stop her from eating. A qualified herp vet would be able to confirm that for you....I would suggest a visit and bring a poop sample to rule out parasites as well....Hope things work out for her! Best wishes!

Re: Help Please...

Sounds like your ig needs a trip to the vet!

We are going to need a lot more information.
How old and how big is the ig?
How long have you had it?
Male or female (the ig) Or do you know
how big and what type of enclosure?
Temperatures ?
What are you feeding?
UVB bulb?
Can you post a picture of the ig and the enclosure?

Re: Help Please...

I agree. This is not normal behavior.

Be sure to check her temps and her diet, and I would also be interested in hearing about her enclosure. But a vet visit is first priority. 2 weeks is a very long time for her to be off food.

Welcome to the site! As stated above, before anyone can really help you with your questions you would need to give more information.
