new to the herp scene
hey my names aaron, ive always been absolutley fascinated with reptiles kept some has a kid but was never "allowed" to have what I really wanted... snakes. i now own a red tail boa, a rat (yes a pet rat and a snake) and a couple tarantulas. Now that ive finally started in with snakes I cant wait to expand on my collection, im in the process of buying an adult Argentine Boa and and looking for tips on building a suitable enviroment, ive never had to build andything for such a big animal, and would like to know where to start. thanks hope to hear back from someone soon.

Building cages can be as easy as you want or as hard as you make it. I Have used some pretty simple DYI cages in the past and I am planning some newer larger ones. I will try to do a little write up in the next few days.

welcome! if you take a look at the habitats section and get a better idea of what would appeal to you then get back to us with your questions about how to modify it to fit your needs. (btw WE LOVE PICS!)

Hi! I was another kid who was always bringing home snakes, snapping turtles and such, but we were only allowed dogs as pets. My dad's family was all very afraid of snakes, he grew up with mainly western rattlesnakes! So, now that I'm all grown up, and my kids are all grown up, I have snakes and lizards galore! Welcome to the addiction!
