I'm currently learning about gecko's with my daughter. She is turning 10 soon and, she is buying her first pet, and is very excited about it.

Welcome! I would second Lacey's suggestion of adoption. Those animals REALLY need a good home. Have you had a chance to look at the care sheets available to? they will help out as well! Good luck!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. Well she is looking at leopard gecko's. We did visit a pet store yesterday, but that was just to look at them and she was able to ask questions. The sales associate let my daughter hold one and that was really neat to see. We left with an information/ care sheet on them, but most of the stuff sounded familiar from what I read here.

I was not aware there is an adoption place either. I will look for one in my area.
