Well Hello! **waves**

Hola!
My name is Meghan, well I prefer Megg, lol its so much cooler
Anyways!
I was just browsing and found this site and thought to myself. well hmmm, i have a water dragon, and I dont EVERYTHING yet. So maybe I should join?
And thats where im at, here at this site.

My setup I assume you want to know is.
-2ft Tall, 2 ft wide, and 5 ft long, all glass.
-1 full spectrum light
-1 heat light(temp is usually 80, and 75 at night.)
-1 rock bowl, for water(got it at the goodwill, and it looks so natural looking! Izzy absolutly loves it!)
- lots of fake plants
- 2 major things for him to climb on(am looking for the perfect peice of driftwood)
- a nice hammock for him to sleep in
- a bowl filled with greens

I usually feed him super worms every other day, and he eats the greens the days I dont give him the worms.

I could be doing everything totally wrong, so if I am help me out now lol.
now onto my baby

Izzy, is a water dragon, aprox. 18 inches long. Not sure on the age. I recieved him from my cousin, he said he didnt know it took so much work for an animal, and gave him to me(knowing I have 2 turtles so I know a little bit about reptiles and I usually do my homework before I get the reptile) He is very friendly, loves watching tv with me and sitting on my shoulder. We are buds He watches me sleep, and he paws at the glass telling me its not time for me to sleep, its time for me to wake-up and play with him. All around he is probably the best animal that I have ever had. and im an animal lover lol.

I have:
2 cats
1 dog
2 Red Ear Sliders
tons of fish
1 albino frog
1 Water dragon.

Will listen to words of encouragement, critism, anything. Anything to help out my little buddy
Thanks!

Re: Well Hello! **waves**

welcome to the boards! I would say try to supplement his diet with a few different kinds of insects. Crickets that are gut-loaded are good. Glad he likes his veggies.

other types of worms? I keep trying to introduce different things to my frogs. After a few times of offering meal worms, they take them.

Re: Well Hello! **waves**

Welcome to HC. Pics would be great. I dont think you enclosure is tall enough though. Water dragons need height vs width. Is the rock bowl big enough for s/he to get into and soak? Glad to hear he is actually eating veggies, thats a plus, lol.

Welcome to HerpCenter!
You mentioned a "full spectrum" bulb. What brand is it? A lot of bulbs are labeled as full spectrum but they are only referring to the light's color rendition. What your dragon needs is a UVB generating bulb.
