i wanted to introduce myself. My name is Vicki and My son is 7 his name is Alex. We own a bearded dragon named Derek. he is 6 months old and doing well. But we are having a hard time getting him to eat his salad. if I hand feed it to him he will eat a little bit. i read that you can add baby food to it and sometimes that works is that true?

Welcome to HerpCenter! Generally the best way is to feed the veggies in the morning and wait to give insects in the evening.
I know ours, given the choice, will pig out on the insects!

I agree with Merlin, I always fed mine veggies in the am and insects in the pm, leave the salad in all day, he will eat when he gets hungry enough.

Hi and welcome to HC !

I have always had that trouble with the Bearded Dragons who come in here, lol. What I do when they are here is hold the food and shake it. It always seems like they have to attack anything moving. I also bought a few of those vibrating food dishes and for me, they have worked on the majority of those that come in.

Though, the others are right about giving the salad in the morning and the bugs in the evening. That works sometimes too!
