As you begin looking into the morphs of Ball Pythons, you should also watch the prices. The elaborate morphs tend to cost MUCH more then a normal phase.

And the prices will stop your heart!
Unless you have a very large money tree growing in the backyard!

Re: New Ball Python Owner

Absolutely - I was looking at some Pastel morphs, available from a Canadian breeder. Holy Crow!!! I didn't see anything under $2000.

Re: New Ball Python Owner

I'd have to save for a while, lol... I'll eventually get one... Also I need to get another tank here soon too. My snake is going up the side and there is this little gap from the tank to the lid and she can get under it but not get out because there is pieces of wood on top. But I'm affraid he is going to get stuck under there and get hurt.

Yeah, you want to watch that - pythons can give Kris Angel a run for the money when it comes to creative escapes.

Re: New Ball Python Owner

Ball's are escape artists. My ball "Squeezee" escaped twice. I finally had to put about 25 lbs. on the screen lid to keep him in and he's only old enough to where you can finally feel his "Spurs".

Hello Python420,

Welcome to Herp Center! Ball's make GREAT pets! Definately watch that gap in the lid, they do try to escape and you don't want it to get injured! Good luck!
