Hello from the Bay Area - CA
Turtle/Tortoise lover here -
Guess I'm not alone in this group. I have a couple Red-eared Sliders and a Russian Tortoise that lives with his buddy the Blue-bellied Lizard. I joined this group to find and share information about my herp friends, so I can give them a good home and long lives. Thanks to everyone - in advance, for your participation.

Welcome to Herp Center, I am another Russian Tort owner. I got a pair last year for my birthday. They are currently living in my living room in their enclosure but will soon be moving outside to their summer accommodations.
Here is a link to our Russian Tort caresheet.

Welcome to HCH, Cheryl! I live in California too... in the Modesto area. Almost two years ago, we adopted a pair of Sulcatas from San Jose. The female has since passed away, but the male, Stanley, is healthy and ornery as can be. We also have a sub-adult pair now.
Are you a member of BAARS? I went to a meeting a while back when John Binns brought numerous iguana species and talked about conservation efforts for the Cycluras... great meeting.
I hope you make yourself at home here!
