about to adopt a bunch of frogs
Hi, I'm new. I have been a frog lover all my life. I was searching for a tank and was about to start building my own vivarium when I stumbled on some frogs that need adopting.
Apparently its a vertical tank that has 2 red eyed tree frogs, 2 fire bellied toads, possibly a dumpy tree frog and a newt. There is also a possible red and black (?) frog that the owner hasn't seen in a while so he doesn't now if it died in a hiding spot or got out or what and he doesn't know what kind of frog he is/was. Not extactly the best care, but at least he realized they aren't getting the care they need.
I'm going to separate the frogs into 2 tanks. I have already ordered vines and cork bark and some drift wood. I'll pick up some new plants and get a 2nd vivarium going.
Anyway, wish me luck!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I feel like i'm biting off more than I can chew but I have been feaverishly reading and learning. I'm compiling a shopping list of everything I will need to get, from taking care of all the frogs, to moving them to the temporary tank, to setting up the new one. Last night was food/cricket/bug education along with calcuim +D powder. WHEW!
Thanks for the caresheet!
