Welcome to the site, tell us about the set up you have now.

You really should have researched this before your purchase.
Definitely give the caresheet a through reading: Green Iguana Caresheet
and then go buy "The ultimate Iguana owners manual" by James Hattfield.

Welcome to Herp Center, take a few minutes to look over the Iguana Center of Herp Center. Then start asking questions, someone should be able to help you out. Like the rest said give us information on size of enclosure, temperatures, etc.

Welcome to HCN. As Lace said, research is must before taking on a new pet A bit more information would help as well. Be sure to check out Herp Habitats - Tanks and Terrariums for more enclosure information.

Sorry! This was my first time in the forum. I really have researched the topic. We are building an new cage. It is 4' tall by 3.5' wide and 2' deep. He is 2 years old and about 24" long. The cage is made out of plywood and 1/2" wire. it has 2 full doors on the front. 2 plywood sides and the back is 1/2 plywood and 1/2 wire. we put a pullout tray in the bottom and are going to use reptibark in it. It has climbing branches and vines in it. I was just wondering how to keep the humidity up. Sorry if I sounded like I didn't know what about my ig.

Hi,
The cage sounds like it will work temporarily, but that iguana is going to get much bigger and require a bigger cage/enclosure soon. Do you allow him any free roam time? As far as the humidity that is going to be hard with wire cages. I use glass or tempered glass that I order already cut to my requirements. THat can be spendy though, have you tried a humidifier with it blowing directly in the cage?
