Hiya Herpers
Hey people. I just found this place. Pretty nice set of forums you've got here. Looks like a ton of nice and helpful members. My wife and I both love reptiles. We currently have 1.1 Irian Jaya Carpet Pythons. The boy is hers and the little lady is mine.
I live in Florida with a lake in my backyard so field herping is right outside my door. We've encountered Gopher Tortoises, Florida Kingsnakes, Southern Ringnecks, Cottonmouth Moccasins, Black Racers, Legless Lizards "Glass Snakes", Gators, Slider turtles, snapping turtles and countless anoles/geckos, all here in my yard. I'm sure I've left one of two out, but they'll come to me in time. I have pictures of most of our encounters and will probably post them all in time.
Nice meeting you,
James and Jenn

Wont believe this
Hi again folks. I know I just posted. But finding this forum got me in the mood to walk my yard. About 15 minutes after my intro post, I located a southern ringneck hatching. We're talking about 4 inches of SHINY cuteness here.

Nice find! I have captured a few over in Arkansas. They are very attractive little snakes! Too bad they don't do that well in captivity.
You are lucky! This time of the year the closest thing to a snake I could find outside would be a coiled up garden hose!
