new to herpcenter!
Hey guys...
Just wanted to introduce myself. I recently acquired my first herp, a one-and-a-half year old ball python. I've wanted a snake for some time, and finally have the chance to care for one. She's about 3 ft. long and is *extremely* shy, a little jumpy. Her previous owner was a bit skiddish about handling her, but I'm hoping I can coax a warmer, slightly more social side out of her. Pics are forthcoming (an acquaintance witha digital camera will be coming over tonight... hopefully, I'll be able to get Eve to give us a few strong photo opps).
I'm in the fine land of southern Michigan... just moved up her. I know that with this bp, I've started down the road to a dangerous addiction... I'm already looking at the possibility of a Uromastyx in six months to a year. I hang around reptileforums, too, withthe same user name.
Can't wait to talk with all of you!

Awesome, welcome to the world of addiction. Most of us here have failed the twelve step program, fell off the wagon, you name it, we just can't stop. Welcome to Herpcenter and we cant wait to see pictures.

Hi and welcome to Herpcenter! There are a lot of ball python owners here, myself included. They are great snakes. with consistant gentle handling you should have a real couch potato snake in no time!
Aren't we ALL!
