Hi, I am a newbie and have a ? about leo gecko
I just wanted to say hi and ask a quick question. I have a female leopard gecko that I rescued about a year ago and she just laid an egg but I have not had her in contact with my males. Do females still lay eggs even if not breed? Thanks for the help!

As far as I know they are not supposed to, but I had the same thing happen to me so it might be possible that they retain sprem.
You could try throwing the egg in an incubator and seeing what happens.
Also be sure she's getting enough calcium, laying an egg can really suck the calcium out of them!

*smile* definitely! Sorry I kind of got in a rush with my question. Was a little worried. Guess I should introduce myself. I live in CA and have a zoo(pretty much). I have two dogs, two cats, four leopard geckos(2 males, 2 females) all rescued, two birds, a rabbit, two fish tanks, a horse, a guinea pig and a partridge in a pear tree! LOL. Nice to meet all of you!
