Hi Ladies,
Thanks for the info and pics. I feel much better now. I managed to measure the broken piece of the tail before I went to sleep last night. 9 inches. It just looks funny, he only has about 5 or 6 inches left. Like I said though, no bleeding, the snap sound was bad.... and seeing the tail wigglying on the counter.
Kane is in a 49 gallon tank right now. We are planning on building here in the next 2 weeks because we know he will out grow it soon. I do not take him out daily. I was trying to start to be a good iggy mom and seeing that I have been taking Rosie out almost daily, I thought Kane should have a turn. He is usually pretty aggressive at first, but after he calms down he's very sweet. I really don't know how old he is, I know I got him in Oct. and the girl that gave him to me had him for a few weeks and she got him via the internet and she said they ordered 6..they were small and were delivered in a box that didn't have food, water or even holes. So maybe they were a month or so my ig's are probably around 6 months old. Anyway, that was a long and winded way of asking how I should approach taking him out. I have been just reaching in and if he runs (always, no if), then I just stay in there until I catch him and then take him out. Any advice? How often should I be taking him out? Usually I just hold him, talk to him and pet his head. Sometimes I try to get him to eat out of my hand. Am I missing something?
Thanks again ladies, especially for the pics. I took some last weekend but for some reason my camera is fuzzy.

What is all of this "dropping" business? Does the tail breakage hurt? I read quite a bit last night and some of the info said that it doesn't hurt them.
