It does make for a cute picture but I wouldn't let the ig get in the habit of climbing up on top of your head. For one thing that puts the iguana in a dominant position and allows it to view you as being in a submissive position. Second that ig is probably going to get much larger. And those claws can make a mess of your face when it starts scrambling trying to get up there.
And we aren't even going to talk about it hooking you in the eye. ![]()

Yeah, its cute now, but once you have a 10lb iguana try to climb your face while you are sleeping, you'll think otherwise! I don't let Diz ride on my head, but everyone else lets him up there so its a real battle to keep him from climbing my head.

And if you wear a hoop earring, getting one of those toes hooked in it is painful!
I knew someone that got the earring torn clean out of their ear!OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

LOL looks like she just barely fits!
Merlin's right about putting her in a dominant position. Iguana's always want to be the dominant creature in the household and for the whole length of time that you have her you will have to show her that you are the dominant one. Doesn't mean you have to be mean at all ... it just means that she'll occasionally get it in her head that she is the boss (and really once you have an iguana and fall in love with them they are the boss, but we can't ever let them know that! )Since ig's can have unpredictable moods at times it's best not to let them get too comfortable with being near your face and or head. My iguana was a big guy and even holding him on my shoulder was a problem at times ... if he wanted to move or lifted his arm to hold on better he sometimes swiped me in the face, lip or ear. His claw actually caught on my lip once and split it- try explaining that injury at work. ![]() Have fun with your iguana. If she's actually coming over to you and trying to interact with you and or even climb you, I'd consider that a good sign. She's starting to trust you and bond with you. Of course she might have just wanted your apple. ![]()
