It has been iguana weather this week so far. It is so hot and humid that the iguanas stay out basking in the sun right near the road of every canal from 9:00 a.m. to about 5:30p.m. I usually only see them on sunny days between 12 and 3 p.m. Padfoot, do you live in S. Florida too? if not then where do you live? I'm curious as to the range these guys actually live.

Padfoot....thanks for sharing those great pictures !
I was actually curious too, where you were located?
Ssativa, I'm in Florida.....but where I live.....all the iguanas I see (including my Maggie) avoid mid day sunning. They usually start when the sun comes up and are hiding by noon....then come back out around 4.
It's neat discovering their diverse behavior patterns

I'm glad you liked them 8) LOL... yup.. I'm in Page Ranking. Here I often see thm up on the trees (I think I've posted pics of them on the trees before). When I see them on ground it's usually on the mouth of one of my dogs, so I have to run to save them. I've saved a couple of them, but they've eaten a couple of them 8( Where my aunt lives, there are some water channels, we've gone through them on boats, and we've seen them swimming... it's very cool too. 8)

If I was a green iguana I would rather live in Puerto Rico. There are more trees and space to live there. That iguana looks healthy and happy too.

Cool awsome and very healthy looking. Nice to see them in the wild. Great picture.

I'm sure South Florida would disagree! LOL
Folks down there are sick of seeing them in the wild, eating all their flowers and gardens, pooping everywhere.
Funny how everything is relative. What we long to see, some are sick of seeing.
