More details may be needed in order for us to give you some good suggestions. It sounds like it's probably some sort of fly. What kind of cage and substrate are you using? Is it humid? Are there any other cages in the house? It's important to figure out where the potential flies are coming from, and whether they're breeding in the enclosure or not.

Its not wretchedly humid...I live in wyoming which has a very very dry arid climate...so humidity isnt exponentially high...Substrate is newspaper (black &white) covered with indoor/outdoor carpet...I had some rocks in there too which are the kind used for the smooth face finish on alot of new houses in my region...I just added some logs from outdoors which may have introduced the pest...but I scrubbed the logs and the rocks before the ywere put into the cage...The bugs seem to live under the rocks, so I removed them...this seems to have seriously decreased the population...The cage is about 4'X3' & 6' tall...2x2 ballisters for the framework, 1/4 x 1/4 screen to climb, covered in plexiglass by the basking area(will be adding plexiglass to bottom half soon)
Ohh...the bugs seem to like to hang out by the 10.0 Reptisun bulb in the back...not so much by her basking set up...Anything else I could tell you?
-The only other animals in the house are two small dogs (jack russel and brussels griffon) and a house cat (indoor only)...

They could be small fruit flies, they are rough to get rid of. I had them in my anole cage when I had live plants, and I wound up having to clean the entire thing with a dilute bleach solution and putting the plants outside the house.

Since you area feeding fresh fruits and veggies, the flie larva could just be sitting in it from the food sitting out. To culture flies all you have to do is leave a pice of fruit out over night and then jar it, so they are like weeds, they don't seem to have a start, but once they get going it is really hard to kill them.

That is only one option however, there are a lot of other possibilities that other people on here can probably speak more on and give you better advice about. Good luck, if you post pictures and the conditions that Matt was asking about people could give better answers than mine, like I said I only ever had the one infestation, and it was because of a mixture of live plants and humid substrate.

Okay...update...I removed the rocks that I had begun to believe were housing the pests and baked them in the oven...Then I removed all other things like the indoor/outdoor carpet..Then I proceed to wipe everything down w/ hot (dilluted) bleach water...after this I wiped it all down again with plain hot water and am currently letting it dry...20 minutes later and the bugs are back...It almost seems like they are attracted to the light...when I was cleaning the cage there were no bugs...but the lights were off as well so I m not exactly too sure whats going on there...I noticed from reading some of the other posts that these annoying little boogers could be controlled with no pest strips...But I have read time and time again that those strips cause neurological damage...I am so freakin frustrated that I want to pull all of my hair out...HELP!?!??! I hope you can anyway...lol

haha...get a herp that would eat them....lol

but if they are coming from anywhere in your enclosure it would be the log from outdoors.

They could also be coming from somewhere else and simply be attracted to the light. Do you have any pics of the offending pests?

yeah...a pic would answer all. They are probably fruit flies ater all...and they are attracted to light...and the fruits and veggies

I can't get a pic with any decent detail they are too small...but now there are like 60 of them in there...its already out of control...I put a no pest strip in there but they don't even notice it...I tried again but I can't get a good pic they a jus ta black blur on the camera...The have 4 legs, two antennae on a roundish triangular head, the abdomen part seems to be like a little ball, on top of it are the wings which fold up straight and to the back so they point out like a tail before they take off...It also has a covering over the wing which splits down the middle...

-update-
I am currently in the process of soaking her logs which seem to be the culprit, thank you caudalis...Last time the lights were off during cleaning so they disappeared on there own...but this time I left the lights on to keep them active and so far I think it is working.....This is really going to mess things up around here though...During this ordeal Mary Jane has been free-roaming which is not usual...so I'm thinking shes not going to like her cage all that well anymore...lol thanks
