Hello,

Iguana Center is part of the HC Network. As such, when a member joins one of the Network sites, we feel they should have access to all of them.

We have configured a method to do just that.

As this new system is implemented, once a member joins one of the HC sites, they will have access to ALL of the HC Network sites without having to log in and out of each individual site.

This system is currently being implemented and debugged, so some functionality will be added as I progress with the Network merge.

Oh wow, this was a bit weird, especially since I have not been on in quite some time. I started posting thinking that it had all become one now, and was actually posting to Herp Center. Where have all the members gone? I dont recognize anyones names anymore?!?!?!?!

This change is very confusing! Is this going to be the last change? Every time I get comfortable, the site changes. I guess Rich likes to keep us on our toes, lol!

There will be one more change. lol I am currently creating a "style" that make navigating the new infrastructure easier. Once that is complete and has passed approval of the staff, it will be set as the "default" look of the site. Members will be able to keep the current look of the site if they prefer however by setting it in the UserCP.

The current merging was to create the functionality that the original concept of the network contained. With the sites merged and housed on the same database, we have the ability to offer more services to the members (we have an image gallery coming and a glossary currently in the works). It will also allow members easier access to the other sites and will help contain all of the information and articles we have in one database. (Also in the works.)

Once this merge has been completed, I think everyone will find that it benefits our members more so than the previous method of having to join each site individually.

Once the merge has been completed, there will be no further changes to the infrastructure of how the sites are handled. This method reduces costs, allows easier site additions, and easier maintenance.
