Toe Question

I was trimming toe nails today and saw what I always saw, on two of his feet Ira has a toe that is bent 90 degrees in, I have seen this on quite a few lizards and wondered if it was a concern at all. I went to vets and never thought to point it out. He is very active, and they don't seem to obstruct him in any way, but I figured better safe than sorry if it was a concern.

This must be common, 'cause one of Gizmo's is the same way. The vet pointed it out to me and said it looked like it had been broken and healed that way. It doesn't hinder his ability to climb on everything, so he's alright about it.

Dragon had one like that. It was fine for a long while but it rubbed with the one next to it. Eventually both died and fell off. She had been missing one already so now she only has two on that foot. She has adapted though.
