My New Pal!!

I found this guy at my local tropical fish store!!!!! His previous owner traded him and another tank for fish. He was in a tank as big as he was, and the owner wanted $50. But after about 30 minutes of talking with my girlfriend in the store, he said that he would sell him to me without the take for $30. 20 minutes later I was at the hardware store getting stuff for a cage. The guy at the fish store said he was 1 1/2- 2years old, i think alittle older but im not sure. Heres a few pics, still having trouble thinking of a name. Let me know what you think.

Welcome to herpcenter! Atleast it looks like the iggy was well cared for, i'm not so good with naming though, just give it some time for you to get to know it and i'm sure something will come to you.

I think if I ever decide to get another iguana, I'll name him/her "Stitch". Aside from it being a member of Mushroomhead and a kickass song by Orgy (minus the "es"), it just sounds like a cool iguana name.

Oh yeah... good lookin' lizard ya got there.

...why would someone trade an IGUANA for a fish tank and some FISH. Ugh... what's the world coming to.

They may have realized. like many new owners do, that they had gotten in over their heads.
At least they went the responsible route and didn't just dump it!

Aww, great looking pet, I'm glad he's found a good home!!

I have a character in my writing who has a pet iguana that he adores named Mercedes; I almost named my Chinese Water Dragon Mercedes but it wasn't quite right. (If she'd turned out to be male, I would've switched to Mercutio:P ) But I dunno the gender of zhat iggy -you can tell it's male?
