A good long soak in a warm (85-90F) bath should do it. Where is the retained shed located on the ig?

Then be sure and check the base of the spikes. This is a place that frequently get a build up with shedding problems.

After a good long soak they should loosen and come off. If not try rubbing a little bit of mineral oil into the base to loosen them. But do not pull on them. If you pull too hard you may tear the skin and damage the spikes.

Yeah, I've found that putting the iguana in a warm bath and then putting a warm towel over the spikes helps to remove the retained shed. Don't pick at them too much or you can damage the skin underneath and hurt the iguana.

I used a warm WET towel. I just put it in the tub on top of him and he sat there and i'd pour water over his back with a pitcher. I don't know if your ig would tollerate that, but if she will then it works like a charm Make sure the towel isnt heavy enough to scare her, I used a wet hand towel because it wasn't very heavy but still held enough water to keep him wet and warm.
