One shed after the other? Or simultaneous?

Hi. Are iguanas supposed to finnish one shed before starting another?
So far, mine has been shedding almost non-stop, with only a few days at most in between sheds. He always starts on the left hand, but progresses in different patches etc.

This time, however, I noticed that it is only halfway through it's shed, the entire belly area, rear feet and side of neck etc. have not shed yet. It is still shedding on the shoulder and neck area now. (The front hands and legs, back, tail, hind legs and head have shed already), but the left hand has already turned whitish color again and is about to shed again! Is it supposed to finnish one shed before the next? Or is it ok to start one in the middle of the previous one?

I'm not an expert on igs but I have noticed this with some of our lizards.. how old is your ig? Lizards shed in pieces anyway, rather than one full shed like snakes, and if they are going through a growth spurt it is normal for them to shed quickly and repeatedly as you are describing.

Yes, they do start a new shedding before the other is finished. Especially if they are growing quickly like yours, it is very normal.

Young iguanas are growing so rapidly that it seems like some part of them is always in shed! This is perfectly normal and is a good sign!

yes, perfectly normal.
Even my big boy is pretty much sheding somewhere at any givin moment, even though he's all grown up. And there are certain areas that will shed a couple or more times in comparison to other areas that don't shed as often.

Yes that is normal for them. Iggy Bam-Bam and Miss Zak are all shedding at the same time and it seems like they will never stop shedding.

Miss Zak sheds in sections at a time and so it seems that she is always shedding.

Dizzy hasn't been shedding much this winter, but in the summer months he is in constant shed....everywhere...I have to vacuum every day to keep up with the bits of skin that are everywhere...it looks like snow
