Update on Iggy injuries

Iggy took a big fall yesterday from his 5' basking shelf. He has not been using his rear legs very much but responds to touch of the legs. We went to the vet this morning to find that he has no broken or fractured bones. YEAH!!!! He got a shot of cortisone and was placed on some force feed food to encourage him to recover quicker. He has been placed on bed rest for 2 weeks, so we have moved him to a smaller enclosure. This has made a good opportunity to reconstruct his current enclosure to a more functional unit for his growing needs. Lots of carpet needed on shelves and a nice cushion below in case of another fall. Thanks for your concerns. Hope everyone has a great and safe New Year.

It's great to know that he will be fine and that it's not as serious as it could have been. Thank you for the PM letting me know as soon as you did.

The lack of broken bones is great news! Now all you have to do is wait for the sore muscles to go away!
Personally if he is eating on his own I wouldn't try to force feed.
