Picture of Spots

Okay so I posted last week asking what these spots could possibly be on my rescued iguana, Taz and I finally got a picture, so If you have any ideas they will be welcomed. I have been lead to believe that they are burns. He has an appointment with a vet coming up, but it would be nice to go in with an idea of what is up. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It looks like scarring to me. possibly from burns.

Yes...looks like burn scars to me also...One of my girls has some spots on her body similar to that...when I got her, she was in a wood box cage with a bare light bulb in the cage with her...sigh...I was not pleased with that...but that was almost 4 yrs and 2 ft ago LOL....she is doing great! Lyn

I agree. Scars. Could be burns or maybe old wounds. Since its a rescue its possible that it was housed with another iguana and there was fighting.

He wasn't housed with another ig, he was being kept in a 55 gallon tank though with a sand floor and just a bare lightbulb shinning on him so the only thing I can think of is him not being able to move away from the light and not being able to move so that it would shine on another part of his body. (he is a 44 inch lizard who was in a 48 inch tank!)

Agreed. Looks very much like scarring from thermal burns, healed up now.

I agree, looks like burns to me too.
Remember to take a poop sample in with you to the vet, if possible.
