Turned a darker shade of green just for a little while then return back to normal? Like bearded dragons how they turn dark when they are angry or "excited". Cuz my iggy did it today..

They generally turn dark if they have been stressed out from something.

Yes, but the strange thing of all was that he was in his quiet room all by himself, and he had just finished eating because he had a piece of carrot on his cheek. But the color came back a few minutes after I walked in.

There was something in the room that may have spooked him. If I place something strange in my room, the one ig I have will focus on it until he is satisfied that it is not going to eat him. That just part of owning an iguana, they come with a lot of quirky behavior.

Mine will turn slightly darker if its storming out; however, he acts the same, he will eat, sleep, poop whatever, but turns a little darker if its thundering or raining hard.

I assume it's because he gets slightly stressed but not enough that it effects his behavior.

The also darken their skin to absorb more light/heat. Perhaps because he had just finished eating, he was working to increase his internal temp.
