We were planning on going to another city to get the kennel to day and I called them, they told me oh, its $250 now sorry. So I called another petstore in another city and they had it for $189 but still a few hours drive, so in last chance I called the petstore here in town.

The girl told me "oh, we don't carry that kind, but we have any size you want." I asked for 4'x4'x6' tall and she said yes we have that for $80. So we went and the one she was talking about was a carrier, not big and not what we want.

However, we found the cage we were looking for to begin with that they said they don't carry, and we got it!

So now I just need to find a top and bottom and inside stuff and call it good and he will be happy.

Now I am in search for coroplast for the floor, but it looks like they sell 4'x8' which is too small so I guess I will have to get 2 and fix it so there can be sides... this cage gives me headaches

Ah... headaches now, but JOY later! I'm glad you were able to find one close by! Did you get it for a reasonable price?

Umm... well, it depends what you call resonable.

It was 203 by the time taxes got to it, it was 189 but that doesn't include the top, bottom, or anything in it. hehehe.... AHHHHHHHH.

That's actually not too bad, my iguana's enclosure start to finish cost me in the ballpark of $550. The door of that cage looked as though it had some fairly large gaps, you may need to frame out the door somehow.

when it was set up it looked like the doors gaps really weren't big, but the actual holes are so we have to get plastic chicken wire for that, which is what I used on his first cage too, it sucks to cut but it should be ok, i just have to get tinsnips instead of scissors

Hi there.

It it common among dragon owners here in New Zealand to use rabbit hutches but when mine get big enough I plan to house them in a kennel but will replace the wire with heavy weave nylon wind break due to potential claw and toe/finger damage. Chicken coop is another idea if you cant find a kennel close by. If its a walk in enclosure for outside or inside you could use perspex to help with humidity

That's not a bad price. Gil's inside enclosure cost me well close to $600. I'm hoping to build him an outside enclosure next summer, but I'll probably do it like my Mom's aviary.
