Re: Elevated WBC
Update:
Yesterday, we took him to UCD for a followup (he enjoys the drive too). They took some blood. Later that evening, the doctor called me and said she found his WBC count is in the normal range. Whatever he was fighting was gone! ![]() Thank god! I felt so relieved and happy that I started to cry... You see-- for two years, Ignatius's owners kept him in a 50 gallon tank. Only fed him collard greens. Didn't provide effective UV. No heat source at night....the list goes on and on. Even worse--my brother and I had continued to keep him in such a poor state until we read The Ultimate Owner's Manual. It took me two days to read that book. When I was done, I felt like real ****. But I also felt a new determination to make all the needed changes. I am happy to report that Ignatius has clean bill of health, and now enjoys being pampered everyday. ![]() Here, in his favorite position, he basks under his Megaray and enjoys the warm mist from his vaporizer. Thank you all for your shared wisdom and support!!!! This truly is a wonderful forum! |

I'm so glad everything came back alright, and I'm glad that you are able to, and want to give him the happy life he deserves!

Re: Elevated WBC
Thanks schlegelbagel!!
I always do research before I get a pet, which is exactly why I never had one. So when my bro brought Ignatius home completely out of the blue, I was seriously annoyed. Just thank goodness for the internet!!! I definitely fell in love with Ignatius. After work, I find that taking care of him is really relaxing. ![]() |
