Einstein's Trip to the Vet

Einstein went to the vet yesterday and did really well. He was an extremely good boy considering all the "torture" we put him through.

I took him in for a check-up 1) because he was overdue and 2) because he hasn't been eating nearly as much as he used to.

The vet did a thorough exam and said everything looked good, except that his mouth was a bit "redder" than she thought it should be. So she gave me some antibiotics as a precaution.

He got an x-ray (which looked really good!) and blood panel (haven't gotten the results of that back yet). I think the vet was shocked when I asked for those to be done - she said most people don't want to spend the money.

So in all:
Office visit = $42
X-Ray = $69
Blood work = $102
Enroflox = $16.25
Valerie's peace of mind = priceless!

Hopefully he snaps out of this food funk soon.

It's always good to hear our "kids" have good bills of health. There usually ain't no better thing we could hear.

Re: Einstein's Trip to the Vet

The food thing might be that he's getting close to going into season. Dizzy is displaying his bright orange colors and only has one thing on his mind right now, "Impressing the ladies."
Your vet has similar prices to mine, we charge a bit more for X-rays and less for bloodwork, but its averages out.

Keep us updated. I agree with Lacey, it's definitely "that time of the year."
