Ig Run Away Found

My ig took off and managed to hide for about 4 days. He's eating a little and drinking. I am sure there are other posts on this subject but couldn't find any. I thank in advance any quick tips on what to do.

Re: Ig Run Away Found

Define "ran away" like was he outside in a tree or was he hiding in the closet? I would strongly suggest a vet visit. Going so long without proper heat could bring on a respiratory infection.

Re: Ig Run Away Found

The bugger was in a closet which was checked twice he usually goes and lays on a south window ledge. We finally found him after giving the house a complete strip down body cavity search. I live in Upper Michigan and there is no vet within 100 miles.

I know some INTERNET searches will pop up a vet but when called they don't do igs.

keep an eye on him, if he does come down with an infection, get ready to drive 100 miles.

Re: Ig Run Away Found

is everything as usual? is he breathing fine? Does he have mucus coming out his mouth or nose, any bubbles and such coming out his nose, does he gurgle or wheeze when breathing? That kind if stuff,, chances are you will be okay since it was in your house,, if you keep your house to normal temps. Jusy keep an eye out,
