Need advice on my female ig...
So I moved Zoe into her new cage on Friday, so now three days ago... I have fed her twice, But she still has not pooped, I have put her in the tub every morning, she has her old litter pan of water in with her... She used to poop in the litter pan of water.
I am concerned about her... Should I be?

Re: Need advice on my female ig...
Are the temps the same as they were in the old cage? If they aren't warm enough they wont go.

Re: Need advice on my female ig...
I've got her ambient temps at around 84-85 and her basking spot at about 90... which is about the same as her old cage... She has not left her top shelf by herself for anything else but to eat...
Her new cage is MUCH bigger than her old, is she just going to have to get used to it?
When do I need to worry?

Re: Need advice on my female ig...
You have completely changed her environment! Iguanas (just like certain HCN Admins ) get very set in their ways and it takes them a bit to get used to changes.
Give her a few more days.

Re: Need advice on my female ig...
Not pooping is not good, and transitions can be the cause. It may take her several weeks before she fully adjust to the move. Once she gets settled in, you'll need to work on raising her basking temp. 90 is a bit low... 95-98 is a better range.
I hope she poops soon!

Re: Need advice on my female ig...
This may sound wierd... But I am happy, she finally pooped! I am assuming she just needed a little time to adjust like you guys said... She finally crawled all the way down by herself and into her litter pan!
So I think she is feeling much better about her environment!
And another update, I just ordered two new MegaRays... a 160 SB and a heat projector... I talked to them today and they said they are on the way!
Thanks again for your help!

It doesn't sound weird at all... we are often excited about poop. In fact, Gil gets praised every morning for going potty. lol
