Re: Parsnip tops for iguanas?
Definitely not good for an iguana if it contains animal protein. The diet looks okay, otherwise.
I was absolutely surprised how much my iguana can sometimes eat in one sitting. ![]()

Re: Parsnip tops for iguanas?
Hi everybody! Wow it was a long time ago that I asked about parsnip tops! The reason I asked was because a local farmer who looked like he was going to be a good supplier said he had them growing in winter and I was looking for more options for ig suitable greens.
We do not have collards, turnip greens or mustard greens here. I need more options. I am at the mercy of the grocery store as to what I can get. Right now the best I can do is curly endive, escarole, parsley and carrot tops as well as parsnip, yellow squash and green beans. I am hoping to be able to find mustard and collards in the summer. |

Re: Parsnip tops for iguanas?
I feed my iguana parsley on occasion, along with bok choy, cilantro and chard on occasion, it just depends what's in stock.

Re: Parsnip tops for iguanas?
Yeah I remember watching a nature show many years ago about marmosets, they couldn't keep them alive in the zoos for very long and no one could figure out why until someone finally realized that the fruit they tend to knosh upon was generally infested with bugs.......
