Re: please help me, my iggy is bloated

Tree bark (or bits of bark of any kind) is really not great to keep iguanas on. It molds easily and when swallowed can cause impaction (blockage). Try keeping him on newspaper or paper towels for awhile. If the blockage happens again, then he probably has a problem that needs to be seen. If not, you'll want to keep him off of particle substances.

Also, make sure his diet consists of greens and not protien.

The bark is not appropriate for iguanas. It can cause a number of problems. Also there are a lot of "green leaves" that are not healthy for iguanas
Please list the types of greens that you are feeding.

yes it is tree bark from the pet store that is for reptiles. As for the food I mainly feed him dandylion leaves and the flowers even, spinach, a little bit of mix colorfull salad, frozen peas, carrot skins, gree beans, berries and bananas. oh and apples too. He also likes cucumber and water melon and red bell peppers. I dont give him any soy products. the blocage might be from eating the bark, I will change it for sur. using paprer towls. thank you much for the help

Re: please help me, my iggy is bloated

Your igs diet needs a serious overhaul. The main part of the diet should be a mixture of collard greens, mustard greens and turnip greens. Dandelion leaves are fine in the mix too.
Replace the carrots with parsnips. Grated of course. Orange skinned squashes are great as well.
Spinach, bananas, apples, and cucumbers are fine for an occassional treat but should not be a regular part of the diet.
