I understand he was young, however if the proper dose is given it will be o.k. It is a little concerning that he still has them. You can look at it the same way as you do humans when you go to the doctor and you get an antibiotic, you take it for a few days, you feel better, but the doc told you take all the medication. If you dont then you will start feeling sick again and you risk the infection actually getting worse. So in short I am not sure why you still have them left. I have never had any left in all the years I have done the iguana rescue.
I would definately call the vet and talk to him again! Good luck! and keep us posted!

They shed as fast as they grow, take shedding as a good sign.

Ask about getting some chlorhexadine (aka Nolvasan) at a strength that is safe enough for rinsing the iguana with, it's good stuff and it's usually really affordable.

hes in a super pet iguana cage, i am only using 1/2 now so I can catch him and tame him better its 3 foot by 2.5 foot by 3 foot he has a reptivet uvb bolb I think... i dont have the box handy.. and a red heat lamp (out side of his cage so he cant burn himself) it gets 85-90 there and I am geting another heatlamp soon for the other side of his cage so he has more basking spots

his humidity is fairly low in his cage... 40-50ish but I spray him alot and he has a pool in there and a water dish and an iguana bathtub that I made him out of clay he also gets baths every other day to everyday depending on how much time I have and how grumpy he is

the floor he has coconut fiber substrate he just got it he thinks it feels funny on his toes he gets a diet of

everyday- collard greens/ turnip greens
every other -along with a mix of baby lettece (no iceburg)
every third day- along with some snap peas
and every once and a while- fruit- mango apple watermelon melons grapes banana and others
