New Iguana Toy/habitat

I just gave Ira another step of freedom in the house, he is far to small for free roaming, but I like to let him out as often as possible. Recently when inside, Ira has taken to a few small trees and plants around the house, and I know that some of them are not good for him, so I made an addition for him to play in. It is a HUGE fake ficus tree that has vines and things hanging from it that he can explore as he likes, it is the first full day that he has had it, but he seems to really like being able to climb almost to the ceiling, and eat from some of the treat spots I created with chop sticks and collard leaves, it is a little more wild looking, but still inside. I hope this will make up for us not being able to go out to the park as much in the next 2 weeks because of my hectic work schedule, now he can just be left to climb with mild supervision, and there is almost nothing for him to get into.

I am not totally comfortable yet with just leaving him to roam as he likes, I try to give him a few hours a day to explore before bed when I can watch him, and now I know he won't get into anything poisonous. He loves to go to the top and just watch everything, and I have even cracked a window at the top to let in some natural humidity and sunlight, it is in an obscure corner so it is not too bad about letting out the AC, and it keeps him noce and warm, he likes that more than his basking spot.

Pictures to come...

In the one you can really see the orange coloration he has been taking on for the season. The other you can see how much he has grown, and the last one you can see the top part of the tree and how it reaches the window, and the heat lamp, the humidifier is below him, and the vines lead back into his cage door that is at the base of the tree.

The ficus is hangs over my desk, so he is able to come down and visit while I type, but he doesn't seem all that interested now that he has his own tree, and it is 7.5 feet tall so it is kinda hard to get it all in one good picture.

I watched him all day in it, and he seems to be more interested in the hidden treats throughout the tree, and looking out the window, he hasn't even really tried to eat them, and the leaves are really pretty thick and hard, I couldn't tear one, so I wouldn't think that he could.

Since the other pictures are very small, here are the larger ones, I finally figured this thing out...

Ira's first climb into the tree, he wasn't sure what to make of it.

This was him looking at me trying to get away from the tree at first, I think he was nervous because I never let him go near trees in the park

Really good shot of the breeding colors he has recently taken on

Ira sunning himself once he found the warm spot, but he didn't stay there long, he just needed to juice up, then it was off to the window.

I thik he was sick of pictures, because he kinda ran and hid when I took the camera out for this one

and finally the whole thing... well, the top of it, it is over 7 feet tall, and the bottom is basically just the cage and humidifier; but you can see his window, and the heat lamp, the light that is in that lamp is just a basking bulb for temperature, the window is cracked to let UV in, and there is a UV lamp in the cage that he doesn't really frequent anymore, he is outside quite a bit.

Hopefully this takes care of the pictures, I'd hate to be breaking the rules
