Hehe... I wasn't sure if iguana's like those fake trees or not, but I got one for Bud too. He liked it for a little while, then just... grew tired of it, I guess.

But sometimes they DON'T come out, and then you're in for HUGE vet bills or worse.

Actually the problem with the ficus trees fake or real is that they are really too small for a larger iguana. They just dont feel comfy sitting on all the smaller branches. So they eventually stop sitting there...they really like branches the size of their bodies or larger....So...the little guy will enjoy his new playground for a while and as he becomes larger ...he could lose interest in it....it is a nice set up for him though.

Diz loved his fake tree, but he quickly outgrew it too, he'll still try to climb it sometimes when hes out roaming but he just pulls it over and hides under it mainly.

In hopes to keep that from happenning I got the biggest one they had and weighted the bottom of it with a few spare plate weights (2 50lb disks) I had that didn't fit my new bar. I can't tip it without a fair amount of force, and I sure as anything can't lift it easily, it is really akward.
I have a cross bar that I will be putting into it soon so that he can rest on it without it collapsing on him when he gets bigger, it has about a 4 inch diameter. I think that will encourage him to spend more time up there, it is the only place he can really get a good view out a window without having to finagle a way to the ledge, and he can see the rabbits in the other room, which seem to fascinate him.
I really like the tree because I never have to worry about him getting far, he has no desire to come down unless he has to deficate, or he wants to climb on me; so I am really trying to make it a keeper for him as he gets bigger.
