I have heard of the genetic test for sexing iguanas on two other forums that are also very reliable like this one. The genetic testing would require a blood test. Your vet will be able to draw the sample but would not be able to do the test. He would have to send it to a lab specializing in such tests. There are only a few labs that do the genetic testing. I have only heard about two. One is in California--ZooGen. They specialize in sexing birds but do other animals too. The second I only seen mentioned once and can't recall where and how long back. I think but do not know that it is pretty reliable. I hear it is pricey though too. Waiting though may be nice. Like waiting to find out if a baby is a girl or boy until it is born. It can be fun guessing.
Curious are you housing the two iguanas together?
