For daytime heat any regular light bulb would have done well. But the important light is one that gives off UVB. Does the Sunglo specifically say it gives off UVB (UVA and UVB is NOT the same). Almost all light bulbs give off UVA. It is the UVB that is difficult to provide and the most critical to an iguana's health.
Iguanas go through a change related stress period.

With Fluorescent tubes (NOT coil or compact) or Mercury Vapor lamps.

A few questions
What is his/her diet? What is the size of his/her enclosure? What is the substrate on the floor? What are the temps? Basking area?, overall or ambient?, furthest from the basking? Veternarian care?

Welcome to HCN.
The sunglo is just a color rendering bulb. It does nothing for the ig. And if it is one of the flourescents it isn't even providing heat. Please review our iguana care sheet found here http://www.herpcenter.com/a/. It sounds like you have a lot of learning to do very quickly. Iguanas are complicated animals to keep. Please post as much information as you can regarding cage, substrate, what you are feeding it, temperatures in basking and cool areas, heating, etc. We will see if we can't get you jump started in the right direction.
