Photo contest question
Hi! Just curious what was the determining factor that Speacilk won when the number of votes were the same as Lacey's?
By the way, whoever are the people who voted for mine, thanks! I was surprised with some of the other photos in there that anyone voted for mine at all! |

Hello,
Adminstrators do not vote during normal contest participation. In the event of a tie, the administrators use their vote to determine the winner. I also added it to the: Contest Rules |

Hello,
Zaroba: The image that won was chosen by the members, and then ultimately, the administrators. It is an image of a dragon curled up in his food or water dish. (Not a bucket.) My dragons have done exactly what that picture depicts. The truth is, almost any image entered in the contests on HC have the potential to be posed pictures. We can never know which images are truly posed and which are not. When an image arises though that many of us have seen with our own animals, its pretty safe to say that the image was likely "natural". In the future Zaroba, you should address the nature of a questionable problem DURING the contest instead of posting about it after the contest. The post above actually appears to be poor sportsmanship, but since you didn't enter the contest I don't know what to make of it. |

This is exactly why ALL the administrators decide in case of a tie. We are all independant and speak our own minds. this negates any possibilty of personal favoritism in the decision.
And a reptile that is just put in a bucket would not look relaxed as is obvious with the Bearded Dragon shown in the photo. Quote:
