She is SO thin Kira...still. It will take a little while, but keep at it. If you go for the pellets...the only one rehabbers suggest is the Rep-Cal Adult Iguana Pellets...and soak them lightly. My guy and the foster girls love them. They should be at least twice their size once soaked (the pellets that is...not the igs...
). This adds good nutrition as well and nutrients. Add it to the top of the salad. It smells yummy, too. Hydration is very important at this point. She isn't eating lots, so she's not getting much fluid intake. Syringe some water into her inserting it near the jaw...or use the water bottle and squirt right up against the "lips". Then time the squirts to the licks. I get Zair like this. Without the hydration, she is in real jeopardy of kidney damage/failure. Good luck and keep keeping us posted with updates!!

Sorry for my late reply, I hurt my back last week and it was just too painful to sit in the computer chair.
Yeah, she is just way too thin for my liking. But I'm still having such troube getting her to eat. I did try some of the pellets, she wouldn't go for them. It's the same story every time I try, I bring her a yummy plate of greens. etc. and she has no desire to eat from the plate on her own, she'll just ignore it. I try to offer her greens by hand and she just closes her eyes and pretends that the food doesn't exsist. The only way that I've found to get her to take it is when she opens up her mouth to hiss at me, I quickly shove a leaf in her mouth. She will usually start chewing after that, and as long as I can slip another leaf in her mouth while she's chewing, she'll continue to eat for a few minutes. But then that's about it. She is drinking a bit, she gets a soak everyday and the first thing she does when placed in the tub is take a good drink. She'll usually soak a good few minutes before pooping. I just can't get her to eat more, I try many times throughout the day, she's very stubborn. It almost seems like when you meet an elderly person and you can tell they just don't have the will to live anymore. Poor baby. As soon as I can scrape up the funds, she's going to the vet next. But as far as the mite problem is going, I have only seen two since we took everything out of their enclosure and I washed & treated their little shelves and we put in a nice long one for them. I just keep cleaning and treating and I think it's working. Hmmm...I think I remember reading or hearing something about a product that helps to stimulate a reptiles appetite? Is there something out there like that? Or am I just imagining it?

Well if you are not using one already, a probiatic can help keep the good flora in balance which helps the appetite. Benebac was originally formulated for birds but has been approved for reptiles. It can be found in most pet stores. NutriBAC df was specifically formulated for reptiles. I think you have to buy it online though. Rich had some at one time in his store I think. Also ReptileUV carries it. I use it weekly and it seems to help my 13 year olds.

Yup...I already suggested the probiotics, too. They really do make a difference. Another thing you might try is a B12 boost. A vegetarian diet consists of very little B12. Iguanas need this and one reason this vitamin is specifically mentioned as a supplement on some sites. B complexes mainly come from red meat....and we KNOW this is bad. A B12 injection works great for boosting the appetite.
